2nd Century Alliance Receives Award from Justamere Foundation
May 1, 2023 – Coatesville, PA – The Coatesville 2nd Century Alliance announced today, they are the recipient of a $5000 grant from the Justamere Foundation.
The grant will support the organization’s work to drive economic development in the City of Coatesville. Their efforts include initiatives that strengthen residential neighborhoods, revitalize the City’s downtown commercial district, improve the economy and quality of life, and source jobs and economic opportunities for City residents.
“This is a new partnership for us and we’re honored the Justamere Foundation sees value in the work we’re doing here in the City,” says Sonia Huntzinger, 2nd Century Alliance Executive Director.
The Justamere Foundation supports programs that help remove barriers to education, training, and employment. President Lori Cushman notes, “We believe in the Coatesville community and the work the 2nd Century Alliance is doing to improve the lives of its residents.”
The Justamere Foundation was started in 2021 with the mission to remove the obstacles that are keeping people from self-sustaining incomes. They also support Veteran services and childhood literacy programs.
The Coatesville 2nd Century Alliance was formed in 2015 when the City of Coatesville, PA celebrated its 100th anniversary as an incorporated, third-class city. It is comprised of community stakeholders that represent the City, the County, for-profit companies, and non-profit organizations, all working together to drive economic development in the City of Coatesville that enables the community to thrive.
